Contract manufacturer of functional foods and dietary supplements, the company specializes in dry granulation, blending, milling, tableting, encapsulation and repackaging to third-party service providers.  The company is recognized by GFSI, is Kosher and organic certified and is an FDA-registered food manufacturer.

Responsible for the overall food safety, defense program and oversight of the Quality Assurance, Sanitation and Food Science functions as defined by the FDA.
Manage the monitoring and advancing the safety and quality programs to ensure the integrity of each batch of product.

Perform process checks through pre-op, production, sanitation, warehousing, label checks, net weight checks and packaging integrity. 

Oversee, monitor and improve HACCP program, document batch testing with 3rd party labs, safety audits, plant sanitation program, test equipment and lead employee training on food safety, company processes, GMP’s and manage compliance.

BS – Food Science or Science related.

3+ years managing a Quality Assurance program and a team in food processing.

Knowledge and understanding of HACCP, FDA, GMP’s and a combination of AIB, SQF,  BRC or  cGMP 21 CFR part 110 standards.

Scientific base of knowledge, an entrepreneurial with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the company.
