Manufacturer dietary supplements and nutritional functional foods supplying the sports nutrition, natural product and nutraceutical markets.
 
Responsibilities:
 
Support maintenance and engineering across the facility with process improvement, cost reduction, equipment evaluation, redesign, upgrade, and installation, area layout, material flows. 
 
Reviews arrangement of equipment to ensure most efficient and productive layout.  

Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the equipment and other functions that affect manufacturing performance. 

Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.

Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. 

Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques. 

Supports Lean Manufacturing initiatives, Continuous Process Improvement and Value Engineering projects in order to meet corporate financial goals.
 
 
Qualifications:
 
BSE in Mechanical, Industrial or Chemical.
5+ years’ experience in engineering, manufacturing process, work flow, production equipment, and industrial controls including PLC.
Working knowledge of lean tools (5S, SMED, Kaizen) and TPM
Ideal:  High Speed bottling experience.  Knowledge of sanitary design and GMP standards, food processing equipment and processes.
Familiar with mechanical, electrical and fluid power systems design and application.
