The HOSPITAL FACILITIES DIRECTOR reports to the CFO and is a member of the hospital management team. This position is hospital based so candidates MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE experience working with hospital or healthcare systems and facilities.  S/he will manage the Engineering Department and a team of 7 staff including a safety officer and engineering technicians. The main hospital facility is over 150,000 square feet and there are also off-site buildings and clinics to oversee.  

Responsibilities include oversight and maintenance of all facilities, staff management, procurement of supplies and equipment, day to day operations of hospital physical plants, specialty systems and oversight of construction and renovation projects.  Excellent leadership, management and people skills are very important. 

Requirements include:
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering field or architecture.
  • At least two years experience in HOSPITAL OR HEALTHCARE facilities engineering / management
  • Having or obtaining the Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFC) certification is desired.
