Join a global chemical leader as the Chemical Operations Superintendent.  Requires expertise in managing and directing the supervisors, to achieve production goals for all areas in the chemical plant.
 
Qualifications:
 
--- B.S. Chemical Engineering degree with 10+ years experience as Production, Operations, and Process Engineering in a large continuous chemical plant.  Should have 5+ years as chemical plant supervisor. 
--- Experience working with PSM, OSHA, EHS regulations.
--- Union plant experience preferred
--- US citizenship or permanent resident required
 
Responsibilities:
 
--- Effectively plan, organize, direct and control plant activities to achieve annual production volumes and plant recoveries/ efficiencies. Ensure products meet all specifications for internal use and shipment to customers.
--- Plan, coordinate, and develop mid to long term plans to achieve the maximum result out of each process and resource as well as strategic, long term planning to produce products at the least cost.
--- Provide a safe environment, produce a quality product on time, be environmentally responsible improve profitability.
--- Prepare budgets and propose, justify and implement capital projects and expenditures. Conduct operations within the Union Agreement.
--- Evaluate, train and develop direct reports and their subordinates to enhance job performance and achieve plant objectives.
--- Develop and maintain sound working relationships with supervisors, peers, and subordinates to obtain cooperation and resolve conflicts in a timely manner.
--- Ensure compliance to PSM ( Process Safety Management), RMP (Risk Management Program), OSHA, FDA, SF/SF (Safe Feed/Safe Food), HACCP ( Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), EPA, FLDEP, DOT, FRA, and AAR regulatory requirements/ best practices and other related laws, regulations, statues and codes.
--- Maintain and develop current technical, process, procedural and other job knowledge to efficiently operate assigned areas.
--- Optimize utilization of manpower resources, raw materials, operating supplies and contract services to achieve annual budget.
--- Regularly inspect plants to detect and eliminate safety, environmental, fire, security and health hazards. Assist in the formulation of emergency response and recovery plans for assigned areas.
--- Monitor weather conditions for management of pond water and monitoring of utilities of the fire water system and air compressor system for the chemical complex.
